One of the key principles of Team Topologies is that Conway’s Law exists and has real-world effects.
Here are the slides from my recent talk about the inevitability of Conway’s Law and how organisational constraints and the tension between planned and operational work can be used as an opportunity to acquire a product mindset. It’s also about how platform teams can catalyse sustainable engineering improvement by defining and protecting their services as products.
