While I prefer longer engagements, I also take on focused short-term consulting, typically with teams that are capable but stuck and need an external perspective more than extra headcount.
This might be a front-end team drowning in technical debt with no clear path out, a backend team that’s fighting itself or another team, or an infrastructure team that knows it should be automating but can’t find the momentum. The common thread is competence without traction, and that’s a solvable problem.
How I work
I don’t arrive with a framework and leave with a report. I embed with your team, identify what’s actually blocking progress — whether that’s technical, organisational, or both and help clear it. If you want written recommendations at the end, I’m happy to produce them.
I keep meetings to a minimum. Useful work over busy work is a principle I’ll apply to your team as much as my own time.
What to expect
I won’t promise to fix everything in two weeks. What I will give you is full attention for the duration of the engagement, a clear view of what’s wrong and why, and a concrete sense of what needs to happen next. Teams I’ve worked with tend to come away with more confidence and less noise, and that is the kind of investment that compounds.
