We all want an automated life.
We all want more robots.
It’s super-simple when you don’t need to do anything yourself anymore. You will have all the time to do the things you really want to do instead of all the boring stuff.
Sounds great doesn’t it?
But we know how it goes. We try to get the things working automatically and it’s a lot harder to it stuff right then it should be.
Why? Because humans are complicated creatures. We’re doing a million things at once. Most of the time do repetitive tasks so instinctively that we don’t ever realise that we’re doing them.
So how can you find out what you’re doing? How can you get something automated and make sure that it actually works correctly? How can you make your life easier and not have to worry that it’s going to fail?
I discussed this on my podcast episode Who is Responsible (the Machinery of Business). During the episode I also mention this template which I call the Daily Task Continuum. This PDF gives you a structure to follow which shows allows you to map your daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
Why is that a good thing?
Because before you can automate you need to learn to understand what it is you’re doing so often.
Try the template, try to break down your daily schedule and look for the small wins which save you the minutes and the seconds. Because those moments add up.
